Details:Shifts: Monday - Friday 7am-3pmPay: Between $30-$33 depending on experienceStart: ASAPDuration: March to April Full Time Position Scope and Objective:To ensure that raw materials are tested for conformance to standards and specifications in a thorough and timely manner and that records and equipment are maintained in efficient condition.Key Duties and Responsibilities:The responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to the following: -- Awareness of company policies, procedures and practices.- To ensure that Quality Control inspections on raw materials are completed according to Jalco procedures and test methods and test results are documented.- To ensure that samples of raw materials are taken, and testing has been either completed internally or external testing organised and results are documented.- To ensure that retained samples of all raw materials are retained in a retrievable system for the prescribed retention time.- Review and file Supplier C of A's for all incoming raw materials and attend to any quality issue raised by production staff concerning incoming raw materials and raise non- conformances where required- To ensure that RM reference samples are established in a timely manner when required.- Perform laboratory equipment operation and calibration when required.- Assist customer complaint investigations and resolution of observed issues.- Assist internal GMP and quality audits.- Carry out Bulk and finished product testing and packaging materials inspection according to specifications when required.- To maintain the laboratory work area in a clean and tidy condition. This includes equipment maintenance.- Direct and coordinate production staff to assist you with any tasks including routine QC testing. Teamwork & commitment to support manufacturing and packaging operations to meet customer requirements.- Carry out any lawful duties as required by the QA Manager- Co-operate with laboratory team members for efficient output.- Strictly following OHS requirements and safety procedures- Contribute to the achievements of the department and company's quality objectives.Experience and Qualifications:Tertiary degree, diploma or certificate in Scientific (Food Science/Chemistry/Microbiology) or similar.Knowledge of Chemistry and/or Microbiology principles and associated analytical instrumentation.Minimum 1 year in a similar role with some experience in the laboratory.Experience in cosmetic and/or pharmaceutical manufacture would be an advantage.Quality focused with an excellent eye for detailGood written and spoken communication skills with intermediate level computer skills.Apply with your CV now and we will be in contact!
