With local manufacturing in Australia, they are experiencing phenomenal growth in Australia, UK, and USA, and are looking to increase their expertise in the Australian Quality Engineering team.
About The Role
This is a newly created role to lead a small inspection team and ensure all suppliers consistently deliver materials of high quality and within specifications. The role is extremely cross functional, and you will work closely with R&D and procurement. You will take full responsibility for the incoming materials inspection process to prevent out of specification components reaching the production line and ensure that materials are available in a timely fashion. You will need to align with suppliers on testing equipment, and identify opportunities for improvement in terms of performance, reliability, and cost.
About You
A relevant engineering degree ideally mechanical, and a strong understanding of quality management principles is critical. Proficiency in QA methodologies and root cause analysis, and CAPA’s is essential, with the ability to problem solve and make decisions. It is important that you can set expectations with your team, and have visibility, and lead by example. Experience with PowerBI would be highly regarded, and Advanced skills in Excel, ideal. At least 3 years Quality Engineering experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment essential, with LEAN manufacturing skills ideal. Please note, this role requires the person to be onsite 5 days per week.
