Position Summary:

  • The position is for a self-driven Techno-Functional Quality Engineering lead who can work in a challenging Stores environment to develop and debug software changes within the NCR R10 interface systems and peripherals.
  • The proposed role also requires expertise in the Retail domain with NCR R10 application ledge too test peripherals such as Point of Sale, Self-Checkout with Fastlane application, Loyalty Management systems knowledge, SAP PMR, and Touch Computer systems with a minimum experience of 5 years.
  • In this role the candidate would be responsible to understand & develop reliable automation frameworks that fit into NCR R10 & NCR Loyalty Management System application space. He/she would also be responsible to troubleshoot software deployment issues across multiple retail POS systems & running post deployment environment readiness checks.

Mandatory Skills:

  • Proposed role requires strong knowledge on Retail domain with at least 5+ years of performance engineering experience with 5 years of Retail experience and a minimum of 5 years of performance engineering Point of Sale experience on NCR R10 POS and Self check out applications.
  • Deep knowledge of Retail Business in Australia context, NCR R10 Application, and its end-to-end system architecture, associated middleware systems like SAG web Methods, SAG Universal Messaging, SAP ECC, SAP PI, SAP CARPOSDM & HANA.
  • Strong hands-on experience for the performance optimization of the middleware systems i.e. RabbitMQ, Web methods, Universal Messaging and Tumbleweed with their end-to-end Architecture.
  • Strong hands-on experience on Non-functional requirements analysis, workload modeling for the complex architectures including multiple layers of data processing.
  • At least 5 years of experience for the server logs analysis using various Tools like Splunk and Elastic Search to derive the workload pattern for any application.
  • At least 9 years of experience on the performance validation tools i.e. Microfocus LoadRunner, Apache Jmeter, Neoload with strong scripting knowledge of .NET and JAVA based protocols.
  • Very good knowledge of the SQL performance tuning and optimization for Oracle and MS SQL server databases.
  • Writing, updating, and maintaining technical program, end user documentation and operational procedures.
  • Strong development skills and experience to create tools and emulators to meet the POS and self-checkout virtualization requirements.
  • Sound Knowledge of Networking and VMware tools and experience in troubleshooting issues
  • 5 years of experience on the profiling of the NCR R10 and Loyalty Management system applications using dotTrace profiling tool.
  • 5 years of experience on the ALM tools i.e. Dynatrace, AppDynamics, CA Introscope etc.
  • Hands-on experience for the installation of the R10 application on ‘Point of Sale’, Self-checkout and centralized R10 HQ/Application servers.
  • Hands on experience for configuring and setting up required queues in RabbitMQ.
  • Hands on experience on setting up Servers, Access Points, PIN pads, Printers, Scanners, RF mobile devices, Department Ticketing Scales, and another environment setup.
  • 5 years of hands-on experience on the performance validation of the SAP retail systems i.e. SAP-PI, SAP-CARPOSDM, SAP-PMR, SAP- ECC and SAP-HANA.
  • Knowledge on Oracle and SQL database queries designing, AWR Reports and DB Tracing and Analysis.
  • Hands on experience in different versions of NCR Loyalty Management System application and should play a subject matter expertise role.
  • Strong knowledge on Australian and New Zealand government legislations on loyalty programs to be rewarded to customers.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Performance requirement analysis for the NCR R10 and Loyalty management systems with multiple interfaces.
  • Installation of the R10 builds to set up the environment for performance validation.
  • Able to Consult, analyze, evaluate the changes required in Woolworths integration systems as per their new architectural changes.
  • Understanding Woolworths Standard Operating Environment and design Non-functional automation frameworks.
  • Analyze, evaluate, and develop NFR strategies to validate the changes required in NCR R10 interfacing system in alignment with the architectural changes.
  • Performance tuning, debugging, diagnosing, and correcting errors and faults in applications programming language within established protocols, guidelines, and quality standards to ensure programs and applications perform to specification.
  • Performance validation, diagnose, debug and fix errors to maintain the NCR R10 integration systems, using Micro Focus LoadRunner, Splunk, Dynatrace, Splunk, AppDynamics, JProfiler, Apache Jmeter, Core Java, Powershell, .Net and shell scripts.
  • Profiling and performance tuning of the NCR R10 point of sale application using dotTrace tool.
  • Development of various Tools/Utilities to enhance the performance and non-functional validation activities.
  • Researching, consulting, analyzing, and evaluating system program needs.
  • Using PowerShell, Java & .Net to develop automation scripts to perform validation on NCR R10 Point of Sale, Fastlane Self-Checkout and Windows Operating systems.
  • Design, develop and document the new system requirements, to support Woolworth’s integrated Stores software environment.
  • Identifying technology restrictions and selecting the right tool for the automation of NCR R10 supported applications.
  • Writing and maintaining program code to meet system requirements, system designs and technical specifications in accordance with quality accredited standards.
  • To be able to answer customer questions and provide accurate information after having the full understanding of the NCR product.
  • Expertise in understanding client requirements and propose solutions which eventually leads to greater customer service.

Salary Range: $95,000-$115,000
