As the Quality Assurance Lead, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the delivery of high quality software products and solutions. Reporting directly to the Head of IT and Development, you will be responsible for establishing and maintaining a robust quality assurance process across all development phases.
Roles and responsibilities
Strategic Quality Assurance
- Develop and execute a comprehensive quality assurance strategy aligned with overall business objectives.
- Integrate quality assurance processes seamlessly into the software development lifecycle.
Leadership and Team Development
- Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of QA professionals, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and excellence.
- Provide guidance on testing methodologies, tools, and best practices to elevate the overall skill set of the QA team
Overseeing Test Planning and Execution
- Oversee the process of generating test artefacts based on project requirements.
- Oversee the execution of test activities, ensuring thorough coverage and adherence to quality standards.
Automation Implementation
- Drive the implementation of test automation frameworks to enhance efficiency and increase test coverage.
- Evaluate and recommend appropriate automation tools that align with organizational goals.
Cross-functional Collaboration
- Collaborate closely with development and product teams to understand project requirements and ensure a unified approach to quality assurance.
- Conduct regular cross-functional meetings to address quality related issues and streamline processes.
How to succeed
We are looking for someone with the following:
- Proven 5+ years of experience as a Quality Assurance Lead managing an in-house QA Team.
- Strong understanding of agile software development methodologies, testing
- techniques, and automation testing.
- Test automation using Selenium Web Driver, C# .Net, ACCELQ, Tosca or a similar tool.
- API testing using Json, XML, Swagger/Postman or similar tools.
- Basic SQL skills.
- Working with TFS/DevOps, Git, Jira, Confluence, SharePoint and similar tools.
- Collaborating with other project stakeholders.
- Previous experience within financial services industry is highly desirable.
- Must have Australian working rights (citizen or PR).
