Job description

We are searching for a highly motivated individual to join our team and play a vital role in ensuring the quality and safety of our operations on Barrow Island.

In this role, you will:

  • Implement and manage a comprehensive Quality Assurance program, focusing on welding quality in accordance with ISO 3834.2.
  • Conduct inspections, audits, and reviews to ensure compliance with relevant quality standards and legislation.
  • Identify and address non-conformances, implementing corrective and preventative actions.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to maintain effective communication and consultation on all HSEQ matters.
  • Identify contract specific quality requirements, create infrastructure to capture and maintain these to align with the Quality management System.
  • Champion a strong safety culture and ensure adherence to all safety procedures and policies.
  • Evaluate subcontractors and suppliers, maintain record of evaluation and conduct supplier/subcontractor assessments and audits as required. 
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of new technologies and processes.

To be successful, you will:

  • Possess an engineering degree or relevant qualification.
  • Have a minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role within the oil & gas or construction industry.
  • Demonstrated expertise in quality management systems, including ISO 9001 and ISO 3834.2.
  • Strong understanding of welding inspection and non-destructive testing (NDT) techniques.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Commitment to safety and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
