As a Quality Supervisor, you will be responsible for understanding our customers quality requirements and leading the quality team to ensure we are delivering product compliant to these expectations.
You will be involved in the development, implementation, and monitoring of quality systems and that the requirements are clearly identified and communicated to plant personnel.
You are a planner and will be responsible for sourcing, evaluating, and implementing of new materials/technology to ensure opportunities for continuous improvement are developed. You will be reviewing and updating relevant work instructions and NDT procedures.
You will have high attention to detail and will be responsible for maintaining plant equipment and work practices in accordance with standard operating procedures to ensure compliance with company and Statutory regulations.
Overall, you will be responsible for reporting adverse quality trends, and taking corrective action as necessary to eliminate any potential quality losses through the analysis of work operations, quality records, and customer complaints. You will develop communications vertically across departments to achieve a continuous improvement culture within the plant.
Key Technical Criteria
- Tertiary qualifications in Metallurgy, Engineering, Quality Management, Internal Auditing, Foundry industrial technology, or a combination of relevant industry experience
- Metal trade-based education background (pattern making, moulding, technical or similar) preferred
- Extensive experience in a production/auditing and supervisory position
