About the role

Based at our Bunbury site, the Quality Systems Manager will provide leadership alongside the Quality Manager to maintain the supply of great quality meat products to our customer.

The successful applicant will take the lead in the quality and compliance processes for a broad range of products with wider scope and complexity where more in depth knowledge and experience is required.

Key responsibilities:

  • Maintain awareness of regulatory environment and new developments in quality assurance and management;
  • Develop methods to gather and analyse data and quality information to identify quality issues;
  • Collaborate with partners, buyers, vendors and other stakeholders to develop solutions to quality issues in accordance to PMLS (Product Management Lifestyle Systems) and ensure supply of products;
  • Maintain and enhance QA work processes and systems;
  • Develops corrective actions for product quality issues;
  • Coach partners across commercial partner in quality standards and processes;
  • Lead quality assurance visits (such as production factory audits);
  • Ensure company policies and procedures fully implement government compliance standards for assigned products/categories;
  • Develop longer-term plans, including recommendations to changes in quality assurance methods for the product/category.

About you:

  • Proven background in Food Manufacturing (experience in Meat Industry highly regarded);
  • Food Safety Qualification Certificate 4;
  • Strong leadership experience;
  • Sound communication skills, both written and verbal;
  • Exceptional problem-solving, organisational and planning skills;
  • Basic computer skills;
  • Driven to meet business standards and customer expectations, and attain ‘best in class’;
  • High attention to detail.
