Quantity Surveyor Fifo Mining

YOUR NEW COMPANY: 
My client is a cost management firm who have numerous offices in various states within Australia. They have a range of services they offer primarily to the Mining and Energy, Infrastructure sectors They have passionate leadership and some blue-chip clients in their portfolio. They have a Quantity Surveyor position available for 6 months to 2 years + project in a FIFO role to regional WA. 

 
YOUR NEW ROLE:
You will undertake the following duties:

• Write and amend cost reports
• Interpret construction drawings
• Price estimates and cost plans
• Measure quantities for variations
• Do take-offs
• Liaise with clients
• Provide cost advisory
• Assist with feasibility studies

 
ARE YOU A FIT?
Do you possess the following? If so please feel free to apply to be considered.

• A degree in Quantity Surveying or Construction Management 
• Experience providing cost management and estimation services to the Infrastructure or Mining & Resources sector
• First Principles Estimation experience
• Strong estimating skills
• Ideally experience working in a PQS cost management firm
• Strong communication skills both written and verbal
• Strong leadership skills
• High level numeracy skills and attention to detail
• Strong IT Skills in MS Office, Excel, Project, Word
• Strong organisational skills – with the ability to prioritise and manage workloads effectively
• An ability to work well with others and build positive and friendly working relationship with clients and across the team
• A current AIQS/RICS membership or working towards achieving it (desirable but not essential)
