- Prepare accurate cost estimates for civil construction projects, considering all relevant factors such as materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractor costs.
- Collaborate with project teams and engineers to analyze project requirements and develop cost plans.
- Manage construction contracts, including reviewing contractual terms and conditions.
- Prepare and evaluate tender documents, contract specifications, and pricing schedules
- Collaborate with procurement teams to source materials, equipment, and subcontractor services at competitive prices while maintaining quality standards.
- Prepare and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotations, negotiate contracts and ensure timely procurement of required resources.
- Monitor project expenditure, track costs against budgets, and implement measures to control and mitigate cost overruns.
- Provide accurate and timely cost reports, forecasts and cash flow projections to project stakeholders.
- Conduct risk assessments and develop risk management strategies to mitigate potential cost impacts.
- Liaise with clients, contractors, consultants and other stakeholders to provide cost-related advice and ensure effective project communication and prepare and present cost reports
- Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management or a related field. Additional certifications are desirable.
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor in civil construction projects.
- Proven knowledge of construction cost estimation and contract administration.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail.
