Hanson is one of Australia's leading suppliers of heavy building materials to the construction industry. We produce aggregates, including crushed rock, sand, gravel and road base from a number of locations across Australia.
We are currently seeking self-motivated and enthusiastic Quarry Operators to join the team at our Wollert Quarry in VIC, approx. 45 minutes' drive North of Melbourne CBD.
These are full-time positions with overtime and weekend work according to business needs.
In your new role with us, you will:
- Carry out day to day operation and maintenance of various vehicles, plant, and equipment
- Operate a heavy vehicle (excavator/front end loader/dump truck)
- Perform general labour activities including cleaning, hosing and shoveling
This role is a great fit for you if you have:
- Solid interpersonal and communication skills
- Total commitment to risk management and OH&S
- A positive work ethic and ability to work within Hanson values and philosophies
- Excavator/Front End Loader/Dump truck ticket is advantageous
- Experience in either Quarrying or Mining or Civil Construction
- Experience with a CAT992 face loader or equivalent preferred
- The ability to work unsupervised and as part of a team
What we offer:
- $31.44 - $34.65/hour pending experience/qualifications, plus penalty rates, plus super
- AM shift is 6am - 4:30pm, PM shift is 11:30am - 10pm Monday to Friday
- Rostered half day Saturday shifts according to business needs
