The Package: $375.83 - $415.27 gross per week + 11% super. (Evaluated as Grade 6 of the QPRC Salary System 2023).

Are you a passionate animal lover with strong experience in animal handling and knowledge of animal health?
Position Overview: As an Animal Attendant you will be assisting the Animal Management team with administrative tasks and maintaining and providing clean hygienic accommodation for animals. In this position, you will be required to identify diseases, injuries or illnesses in animals and treat appropriately where possible. You will also be responsible for providing enrichment and exercise programs and conducting temperament assessments for animals housed within the facility.
Who we are looking for: Council is seeking an enthusiastic individual who has prior experience and knowledge in animal handling, health and behaviour. You will also have exceptional communication skills to enforce requirements of the Companion Animals Act and provide advice to community members and external stakeholders. The successful candidate will be available to work regular weekends and public holidays with the opportunity for more hours where required. Qualifications in animal studies is desirable.
