About the Role:
- Possess a high level of expertise in radiation therapy treatment and planning clinical practice and regularly apply clinical knowledge and skills to complex, critical decision making with limited professional supervision in treatment, planning and quality assurance work units
- Radiation Therapists with advanced skills will be expected to fulfil duties in each clinical service area on a rotational basis
- Regularly utilise high level communication skills acting as a patient advocate, proactively seeking feedback to provide a service that continually meets patient needs across the continuum of care, through liaison with other professional groups
- Provide high level knowledge and advice to other professional groups, including Radiation Oncologists and Medical Physicists at a department level
- Support the Radiation Therapist - Advanced in providing clinical leadership to Radiation Therapists enabling high quality radiation therapy planning and treatment to radiation oncology patients
- Facilitate the education of undergraduate students on clinical placement
