We are seeking an enthusiastic and safety-focused UG Mine Technology Technician to join our busy Mining Innovation & Automation team at Cadia.

As a Radio Technician at Cadia, you will play a crucial role in maintaining, repairing, and upgrading radio communication systems used in mining operations. You will work closely with mining personnel to ensure constant and reliable communication across site, both underground and surface.
Key responsibilities include:
To maintain commissioned technology systems, existing communications infrastructure, Production Monitoring and Tracking systems
Maintain and improve both on board and fixed infrastructure components and availability through effective servicing and execution of preventative maintenance tasks
Diagnosing and repair of equipment faults
Qualifications, knowledge, skills and abilities
Familiarity of Voice communications systems (UHF, VHF) and network configuration (mandatory)
Digital Mobile Radio experience (desirable)
Qualified tradesperson in the Communications Maintenance field
Understanding of mine infrastructure and logistics systems
Training and experience in WLAN/LAN networking installation and fault-finding, including Fibre Optics
Have experience with modern maintenance techniques and computerised maintenance systems. (SAP)
Be familiar with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Project, Excel & Word
Previous experience in a heavy industry maintenance environment, preferably associated with Mining
Please note: This is a permanent full-time residential (no FIFO/DIDO) role at our Cadia mine site, on a 7D/7X/7N/7X roster.
