Victoria Diagnostic Imaging provides comprehensive Radiology services in Victoria. Company offers X-ray, Ultrasound, CT scan and BMD (DEXA) at Carrum Downs and Hampton Park clinics.
They seek multiple experienced Radiographers to join their highly skilled and dynamic team.
The Role
This is for a full-time role with an annual salary at $70,000 - $75000 plus superannuation and will be based in their Carrum Downs and Hampton Park clinic.
Responsibilities
Managing patients and operating different medical imaging equipments.
Optimize the settings on various imaging devices such as X-ray machines, CT scanners,
Compute critical factors such as exposure duration, radiation dose, and contrast levels for imaging procedures.
Explain imaging processes to patients, addressing concerns and ensuring understanding.
Take necessary measures to ensure patient comfort and protection from unnecessary radiation.
Relay important findings and diagnostic images to reporting Radiologit promptly and clearly for reporting.
Regularly check and maintain imaging equipment for correct and safe functioning
Record details of imaging procedures and findings for patient records and future reference
Adhere to established safety standards and protocols to minimize radiation exposure
Engage in continuous learning and professional development activities to stay updated with advancements in radiography and medical imaging technologies
Requirements
Bachelor Degree in Medical Imaging (Diagnostic Radiography)
At least 2 years of experience in using X-ray, CT scanner.
Hold a valid and current AHPRA registration
Hold a Victorian radiation license
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively and a patient focused approach
