Bundaberg Radiology, located in Wide Bay–Burnett region, QLD, 15 mins from the coastline of the Southern Great Barrier Reef and coastal town of Bargara, is seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Chief Radiographer.
As the Chief Radiographer, you will oversee the daily operations of our state-of-the-art imaging facility, which includes CT, X-Ray, MRI, Mammography, Theatre, Screening, Interventional, and BMD services across two sites.
With two on-site radiologist's, you'll have the opportunity to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team and provide exceptional patient care.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage the daily operations of the radiology department, ensuring efficient workflow and high-quality imaging services.
- Supervise and support a team of dedicated radiographers, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations.
- Collaborate closely with the on-site radiologist and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate and timely diagnoses for patients.
- Perform diagnostic imaging procedures, including CT, X-Ray, Mammography, Interventional X-Ray, and BMD, adhering to established protocols and safety standards.
- Maintain and update equipment, ensuring proper functioning and adherence to regulatory requirements.
- Develop and implement quality control measures to monitor and enhance the accuracy and reliability of imaging results.
- Stay updated on the latest advancements and best practices in radiology, participating in continuing education and professional development activities.
- Foster a positive and supportive work environment, promoting teamwork, open communication, and a patient-centered approach.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Radiography.
Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
EPA License
Experience in performing and interpreting a wide range of radiographic procedures, including CT, X-Ray, Mammography, Interventional X-Ray, and BMD.
Proven leadership and supervisory skills, with the ability to effectively manage a team of radiographers.
Strong knowledge of radiography principles, techniques, and equipment.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and provide compassionate care to patients.
Attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
Familiarity with relevant regulations and safety guidelines.
Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying abreast of advancements in the field.
