Where you'll be working:
Hunter New England Imagine (HNEI) Singleton is a small general imaging department with a patient mix of hospital and outpatients and accounts for emergency, theatre, maternity, inpatient and outpatients imaging needs for the township and outlying local areas.
Singleton is a picturesque riverside town in the Hunter Valley, with rolling vineyards and plenty of outdoor adventure opportunities. Lake St Clair is just to the north of the town and is a popular spot for kayaking, sailing, fishing and water skiing. Foodies, wine and nature lovers will love the close location of the beautiful vineyards and restaurants of the Pokolbin, Lovedale, Broke Fordwich and Upper Hunter wineries and World Heritage wilderness within the numerous National Parks close by. Singleton is just over a 2-hour drive north of Sydney, and only an hour from Newcastle, with trains from Sydney stopping regularly.
About the role:
The successful applicant will be working within a passionate group of professionals here at Singleton. You will be expected to participate in a 7 day shift and on call department that services the health campus. As the department serves a growing local community of over 25 thousand people our patient mix comprises of acute and outpatient from paediatrics to geriatric with the support of CT and Ultrasound services from private practice.
Site, Department and Corporate orientation will be provided to the successful applicant. You will have access to NSW and HNE Health training, development and educators. You will also have access to NSW State award conditions for study and possible eligibility for rural and remote scholarship application conditions.
About you:
- Must be able to work independently and supply high quality radiographic imaging.
- Work within and support the multi-disciplinary team within the campus.
- Able to problems solve and have a positive working relationship with our external partners, referrers and departments.
- Provide high level radiological support and insight to our hospital teams.
Requirements:
- Degree in Medical Radiation Science (Diagnostic Radiography) or equivalent.
- Eligible for registration with Australian Health Professionals Registration Authority (AHPRA), hold current NSW EPA Radiation licence.
- Eligible to drive in NSW and the ability and willingness to travel for work purposes which may involve driving long distances.
