East Grampians Health Service is based in Ararat and Willaura (Regional Victoria) and takes its name from the magnificent mountain range that provides a backdrop to both townships. The medical Imaging department is located at the main site in Ararat. It supports EGHS clinical service by offering services in CT, Ultrasound, OPG and General Radiology to both acute patients and the community. In practice, you will work in a team including Radiographers and Sonographers supporting our on-call and weekend work, all having support from our excellent administration staff. EGHS also provides services to our local Medical Practitioners and the Department of Justice Corrections Centre at Ararat.

- The Radiology team provides services from Monday to Friday 8:30am – 5:00pm and Saturday and Sunday 3:00pm – 6:00pm with emergency on-call.
- As member of this skilled and professional team you will be encouraged and supported to participate in continuous professional development programs to further consolidate your skills
- The service uses Comrad and InTeleviewer software.
- Produce high quality diagnostic images that are reasonably achievable given the patient condition and in accordance with the ALARA principles
- Demonstrate extensive or special knowledge, experience and competence in the required Radiology specialist modalities
- CT experience preferred
- Bachelor of Medical Radiation Science (Medical Imaging) or recognised equivalent
- AHPRA Registration as a practicing Medical Imaging Technologist
- Victorian Radiation “Use” Licence
- Demonstrated high level experience and skills in general radiography, CT, PACS and RIS
- Willingness and ability to participate in the ‘on call’ roster
