About the Division / Team

Our Interstate network is responsible for the management of approximately 6,000km of track and servicing a broad range of supply chains. The team comprises more than 500 staff and 24 provisioning centres and depots, which continue to deliver major corridor maintenance works and projects across the country to increase the efficiency and capacity of Australia's rail network.

About the Opportunity

Infrastructure Maintainers undertake general labouring, track maintenance duties, safety protection work, visual inspections of ARTC's rail track, operating heavy machinery, welding and other maintenance tasks while meeting ARTC standards.

• Communicate and work effectively with other ARTC employees, contractors and customers
• Undertake installation, modification and maintenance of a range of rail related civil infrastructure
• Inspection, measurement and analysis of track to identify the condition of the track
• Safe operation of plant and machinery
• Completing administrative tasks such as documentation related to pre-work briefs, worksite protection plans, environmental analysis, pre-start briefs and toolbox talks
• Respond to incidents or accidents in accordance with workplace emergency procedures

About You

To ensure success in this position, applicants will be able to demonstrate:

• Current drivers licence and proficiency in driving a manual car
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Construction industry induction (white card)
