OUR STORY
The Central Land Council (CLC) is a corporate Commonwealth entity established under the Aboriginal Land Rights (Northern Territory) Act 1976. The CLC represents traditional landowners, native title holders and other Aboriginal people in the southern half of the Northern Territory—an area of almost 780,000 square kilometres.
The CLC provides its constituents with advice, advocacy and practical assistance to support their aspirations, manage their land and realise and protect their rights.

THE ROLE
Ranger Group Coordinator – various locations in Central Australia
CL 5 – CL 6 ($77,521 – $96,180)
Positons available in Tjuwanpa (Hermannsberg), Papunya, Walungurru (Kintore), Muru-Warinyi Ankkul (Tennant Creek)
These positions will coordinate, supervise and support the development of one of the groups within the CLC Ranger Program, an indigenous land management initiative operating on Aboriginal land and other tenures in the CLC region. The CLC’s Ranger Program aims to realise the aspirations of traditional owners to maintain connection to, and look after country and pass on knowledge to younger generations. The Coordinator will work with indigenous rangers, traditional owners, CLC staff, the wider community, and other stakeholders in implementing a diverse program of on-ground natural and cultural resource management activities.

Total effective package includes: base salary, district allowance, superannuation, leave loading, relocation assistance, annual airfare allowance and salary packaging options. Annual progression within the salary scale is subject to satisfactory performance. Progression is in accordance with annual increments set out in an enterprise agreement.
