Bindarra is a non-for-profit Community Early Education Service 

A rare opening exists for an experienced Early Childhood professional to join our team.

 Bindarra Children's Daycare Centre puts relationships at the core of all we do, we understand the importance of children learning through play; and strive to offer an early year’s experience that provides a full and rich childhood built on strong partnership with our families. We want our community to feel as though we are their home away from home. 

A Permanent Part-Time and Permanent Full-Time position is available.

Bindarra is seeking an Educator who possesses the following attributes - 

  • Leadership qualities - you will have proven experience and confidence to run a room in the absence of the Early Childhood Teacher.
  • You will be adaptable and open to working in different ways to strive for excellence
  • You will possess excellent communication skills to build instant rapport with families and most importantly children. 

The successful applicant must have the following:

Cert II in Early Childhood Education and Care, with at least 4 years' experience,

or completed or studying their Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care.

Current Blue Card. 

Applicants who check off the above criteria will be invited for a conversation and a paid trial to assess their suitability against the following criteria - 

Skills:

  • Highly developed interpersonal skills and ability to relate to individuals of various ages, social and cultural backgrounds.
  • High level of written and oral communication skills which reflect a professional approach in all circumstances.
  • You have a natural way with relating to and caring for children.

Knowledge:

  • Knowledge of the National Quality Framework 
  • Knowledge of the Queensland Kindergarten Learning Guidelines
  • A well-developed understanding of Early Childhood Development theories and approaches
  • Abreast of the current trends in Early Childhood and children transitioning to Prep.

Attitudes:

  • Must possess a passionate and enthusiastic attitude towards the care and education of young children.
  • Must serve to promote social justice and equity by demonstrating an attitude of acceptance and respect for all children and their families.
  • Must possess a positive attitude to the inclusion of children with special needs and those of all cultures.
  • Must possess empathy for the individual needs and desires of the child and their families.
  • Must possess a commitment to building on the current teams strengths and working in partnership with your fellow Educators.
