About Adaptability Therapy 

Adaptability Therapy is a friendly and progressive multi-disciplinary allied health team in South East QLD committed to providing allied health services for children, young people and adults with a range of disabilities. We provide a range of Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Speech Pathology services to people of all ages, from infants up to those who are ageing.

The role

An exciting opportunity is now available for an Occupational Therapist to join our team in Hervey Bay, working with a diverse caseload across the adult lifespan.
  
This is a position where your demonstrated experience will further strengthen the Generalist (Adult) service within our wider service offering. You will maintain a caseload along with contributing to quality improvement. 

This role is home and community-based with regular travel to client locations and you will provide the highest-quality Occupational Therapy assessment and intervention working with a diverse caseload.
  
What you'll do
  
As an Occupational Therapist:

  • Provide functional and psychosocial assessments using a range of tools and approaches
  • Design & implement client-centred, evidence based interventions 
  • Design therapy plans that are holistic, centred around a person’s aspirations and define clear outcomes
  • Guide equipment decisions relating to daily activities and assistive technology (where appropriate, or lean on our in-house experts for support with this)
  • Participate in regular supervision and mentoring 
  • Participate in regular professional development opportunities (both internal & external)

Requirements
  • Current AHPRA registration as an Occupational Therapist 
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check or ability to obtain
  • A professional, warm and open mindset
  • Demonstrated NDIS clinical experience
  • Current valid drivers licence & reliable vehicle; ability and willingness to drive as required
  • Minimum of 3 years experience as an OT, preferably within NDIS or Aged Care settings
