We are looking for an Administrator/Receptionist at our Armidale Practice - New England Hand Therapy to work 2 days a week on Tuesday and Thursday starting in February 2024.
For this role as a Healthcare Administrator your duties will include ordering medical supplies, maintaining employee records and handling medical information confidentially and discretely.
Our ideal candidate will have previous experience as a Healthcare Administrator and be able to complete administrative tasks accurately, in a timely manner. We are seeking someone with friendly demeanour to make our patients feel welcome.
Responsibilities
- Booking and Rebooking Appointments
- Maintain medical and staff records
- Track medical and office supplies/stock
- Create and update patient profiles and records
- Create work schedules for staff members
- Answer queries from doctors, nurses and patients
- Liaise with Surgeons and other Practitioners
- Ensure compliance with current healthcare regulations
- Managing work cover claims, including monitoring status of approvals
- Reconciliation of accounts and follow up outstanding invoices from insurers and patients
- Send Faxes, emails, printing and scanning
- Tidying and cleaning clinic- Dusting, General tidy, Vacuum.
- Proven work experience as an Administrator or relevant role
- TAFE Cert III ( Medical admin) and or experience with Medical Administration preferable
- Familiarity with medical databases and spreadsheets
- Strong organisational and time-management skills
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to problem-solve under pressure
- Self motivated individual who can work independently
- Proficient computer skills
- Good phone etiquette
