Job description

An exciting opportunity is currently available to join Walshs Practice as our front of house receptionist. We consider this a pivotal role at Walshs as you will be responsible for presenting the first impression and primary contact point to our valued clients,  client on-boarding, as well as working alongside the team to provide administration support to deliver an exceptional client experience.

What you will do: 

  • Manage inbound phone calls
  • Assist with the management of Walshs enquiries emails
  • Assist with the coordination of meeting bookings, reminders to clients, and meeting rooms
  • Organize client coffees, and greet clients in reception
  • Ensuring the kitchen remains stocked with necessary items – ordering through Woolworths, unpacking and monitoring
  • Collect the physical mail from the PO box, scanning this into our system, and delegating accordingly
  • Posting of any physical mail / couriering items 
  • Assist with the management of referrals for the firm 
  • Collecting supplies as needed for the firm. 
  • Assist with the organization of kitchen – keeping it clean and tidy for staff. 
  • Complete exchanges, process queries, and manage client expectations in a timely and professional manner.
  • Support other members of our administrative team when capacity allows 
  • Other ad-hoc tasks as required

What you need: 

  • Secondary education is required 
  • Experience in a similar client-facing/reception role is preferred, but not required 
  • Intermediate computer literacy skills and talent for technology.
  • Advanced written and verbal communication skills.
  • Willingness to learn
  • Happy to take on any task
  • Polite, friendly, and self-assured attitude.
  • Skills in multitasking and good time-management.
  • Knowledge of the accounting and financial planning industry an advantage
