Receptionist at Platform Fitness

Platform Fitness is seeking a reliable and customer-oriented Receptionist to join our team. As the first point of contact for our members and guests, the Receptionist will play a crucial role in ensuring a positive and welcoming experience for all who enter our facility. The successful candidate will be responsible for handling a variety of tasks, including answering phone calls, responding to emails and managing the front desk area.

Key Responsibilities:

• Greet and welcome members and guests with a friendly and professional demeanor
• Answer phone calls, respond to emails and messages, and provide accurate information to inquiries
• Manage the front desk area, ensuring it is neat, organized and well-maintained
• Creche services
• Assist with membership inquiries, sales and sign-ups
• Processing membership application and renewals
• Membership sales & tours (if the management staff are busy)
• Schedule appointments and manage the calendar for personal trainers and group fitness classes
• Process payments and handle cash and credit card transactions
• Entering data into our database
• Point of sale purchases, class & PT bookings.
• Cleaning the gym equipment and tidying the gym
• Ad-hoc and administerial duties

Requirements:

• A passion for health and fitness
• A great attitude towards learning
• Proven experience as a receptionist or in a similar customer service role
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other basic computer skills
• Working with Children's Check
• Passionate about fitness and committed to a healthy lifestyle
• Flexible availability, including mornings, evenings and weekends
