Chih-Chi Lee Behavioural Optometrist is a specialised practice located in Castle Hill that prides itself on providing the highest level of care and support to our patients. We are seeking a part time receptionist to join our dynamic team.
ABOUT THE ROLE
In this role, you will be responsible for providing a reception service each Tuesday and Wednesday (9am – 6pm) and most likely Saturday morning (9am – 1pm). Occasionally, you may be asked to work additional hours to support our practice.
Specifically, your role will involve:
Being the first point of contact for the business, warmly welcoming patients to the practice either over the phone or greeting our patients as they arrive at the practice
Actively promoting the practice by providing accurate information to patients on the services offered by the practice and the fees associated with these services
Effective scheduling and efficient management of the appointment book for each of the Optometrists, Vision Therapists and Optical Dispenser using Optomate software (training will be provided)
Collection and data entry of patient details, maintaining the highest level of confidentiality at all times
Scanning of documentation to promote a paperless office
Management of patient invoices and processing/ receipting of payments including claims from Medicare and health funds as required
Completion of daily reconciliations including cash, EFTPOS, credit card and HICAPS
Providing general administrative support to the Optometrists, Vision Therapists and Optical Dispenser
Be able to help with fashionable frame selection and basic optical dispensing when needed (training will be provided)
The ideal candidate will be willing to complete further training in optics (e.g. optical disperser)
ABOUT YOU
To be successful in this role, as an ideal candidate you will have the following attributes;
Previous experience as a receptionist in a fast-paced environment, with a past retail experience and a flare for fashion will be highly regarded.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a natural ability to interact with and provide support to people of all ages, abilities, backgrounds and personalities
A track record of providing superior customer service and able to liaise with our patients in an empathetic and compassionate manner
An exceptional administrator with outstanding organisational and time management skills, with a verified capacity to multitask
Highly proficient in Microsoft Office with demonstrated ability to easily adapt to other systems
Always act with integrity and be able to maintain the strictest levels of confidentiality in relation to patient information and matters relating to the practice
Be proactive, take initiative and be self-motivated
Possess meticulous attention to detail and take pride in the quality of your work
Ability to work independently but also as an integral part of a cohesive team
