How will you contribute to ensuring access to justice for all?
We are looking for a Receptionist / Trainee Legal Assistant to join our Personal Injuries team based in our Darwin office on a permanent basis. We are open to discussing part-time / flexible work arrangements. This role is a great way to join a fantastic team and grow your career within Maurice Blackburn and may suit a law student or someone looking for an opportunity to enter the legal industry.
You will be a vital part to the team by providing quality reception and administrative assistance to our team. You will build upon your client service skills by providing support to our clients when they need it most.
Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to answering and managing incoming calls, diary management, being in frequent contact with clients (both internal and external), file management, preparation of correspondence, court documents and briefs of evidence, and providing day-to-day administrative support.
The experience we are looking for
- Experience in a law firm or in a professional services firm is desirable, but not essential;
- Excellent communication skills (verbal, written and interpersonal) with a diverse range of clients including non-English backgrounds;
- Strong attention to detail;
- Excellent organisational and time management skills;
- Ability to work in a high paced environment with competing demands
- Ability to work in a team; and
- Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite
