Tax Bix Accounting is a small locally owned accounting firm located in Gladstone. We pride yourselves on our commitment and service to small business clients. We are seeking a full-time receptionist/bookkeeper to join our friendly team. The position would ideally suit a person is experienced in or is interested in bookkeeping and completing basic income tax returns. Training will be provided to the successful applicant.
Job Description:
- Administration and reception duties:
- Manage incoming phone calls and client communications
- Greet and welcome clients
- Update calendars and schedule appointments
- Manage incoming and outgoing mail distribution
- Checking and attending to ATO, client and other correspondence
- Invoicing and receipting
- Bookkeeping services including bank reconciliations and basic data entry
- Preparation of basic income tax returns
- Management of client files and documentation
- Liaise with clients and follow up outstanding queries
Required qualities:
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask
- Demonstrate a can-do attitude and willingness to learn
- Have intermediate MS Word, Excel and Outlook skills
- Be a flexible team member
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Understanding of social media e.g. Facebook
Salary is in accordance with the Clerks Award.
