Medical Receptionist/Bookkeeper

**Position:** Casual Medical Receptionist/Bookkeeper 

**Location:** East Ipswich Specialist Centre 

**Hours:** Approximately 20 hours per week (flexible) 

**Role Highlights:**

**Key Requirements:**

- Strong communication skills

- Attention to detail and ability to multitask

- Typing of medical reports by audio transcription

- Fast and accurate medical audio typing

- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively

- Excellent phone etiquette and customer service

- Willingness to learn and adapt

**Responsibilities:**

- Answering phones and managing patient inquiries

- Appointment scheduling

- Patient account processing (cash and EFTPOS)

- Bookkeeping and account management (software training provided)

- Patient liaison for a welcoming environment

- Consultation room preparation and administration tasks

- Cross-training in various practice areas

**Essential Skills:**

- Excellent phone manner

- Strong written and verbal communication

- Experience with high level of typing 

- High degree of computer literacy with proven touch typing and accuracy

- Initiative and problem-solving skills

- Empathy and understanding towards patients
