Job Description:
We are seeking a dynamic and professional Receptionist/Sales Assistant to join our team for our brand new storefront!
The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our clients and visitors and will assist in the sales of pumps, fittings & pneumatic supplies from our trusted partners Spot-On, Sandpiper, SMC - as well as our own line of BBQ Smokers & supplies.
Key Responsibilities:
Reception Duties:
- Greet clients and visitors with a warm and professional demeanour.
- Manage incoming calls and direct them to the appropriate personnel.
- Maintain a clean and organised reception/sales room.
- Schedule appointments.
- Handle incoming and outgoing mail and packages.
- Provide administrative support to various departments as needed.
Sales Duties:
- Assist customers in selecting and purchasing fittings & pneumatic supplies.
- Develop in-depth knowledge of products from Spot-On, Sandpiper to effectively meet customer needs.
- Process sales transactions.
- Maintain inventory levels and restock shelves as needed.
- Prepare and follow up on sales quotes and orders.
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships to encourage repeat business.
Additional Duties:
- Assist with general admin tasks such as data entry, filing, and document management.
- Support the marketing team with promotional activities and events.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in an admin and/or sales role is preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask and handle a fast-paced work environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Familiarity with mechanical engineering components and supplies is an advantage but not required.
