The Recover at Work Advisor is a key team member whose focus is to support injured workers to remain at and Recover at Work, or to develop strong return to work plans to help get workers back to what they do best, supporting our customers to live a great life. The life they want. The life they choose. Instrumental to success is the ability to coaching and guide supervisors and work with our insurance and rehab partners to facilitating a quick and smooth recovery. A day in the life of a Recover at Work Advisor

  • Submitting claims to insurers through the SolvInjury workers' compensation injury management system and ensuring prompt initial notifications within specified reporting timeframes.
  • Assisting in the formulation and execution of timely return to work plans.
  • Orchestrating the worker's recovery at Work, including promptly identifying suitable and meaningful duties.
  • Offering support to injured workers by providing reassurance and encouragement throughout their treatment and return to work journey.
  • Actively advocating for return to work processes, positively influencing worker perceptions, and emphasizing the health benefits of meaningful work.
  • Coaching managers, supervisors, and workers on return to work processes.
  • Contributing insights into workers' compensation processes, such as reviewing and enhancing the Return to Work Injury Management policy and procedure manual, along with associated policies, systems, and processes.

What you need to be successful in this role…

  • Advanced interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, proficient in leadership, persuasion, negotiation, consultation, and advisory roles for workers' compensation claims management and rehabilitation.
  • Efficient coordination of workers' compensation claims management processes and early intervention strategies at individual and organizational levels.
  • Knowledge and application of workers' compensation legislative standards and guidelines within the organization.
  • Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively within a team, achieving outcomes within specified deadlines.
  • Proficiency in using technology, including Microsoft suite and HR systems; experience with Solvinjury and icare preferred.
  • Current qualifications in Rehabilitation and Return to Work Coordination accreditation.
  • Familiarity (or ability to acquire knowledge) with the Act and associated regulations and guidelines.
  • Experience (or ability to acquire skills) in injury management and return to work, including case and case load management.
  • Hold a current 'C' class driver’s license.
