SMS Healthcare is looking for an experienced Registered Nurse to join our friendly team at Central Sydney Private Hospital (CSPH) on a casual basis working 20-24 hours per week.
CSPH is a boutique day surgery located in the heart of Sydney in Haymarket.
CSPH is a high-quality day surgery offering services including endoscopy, gynaecology, ophthalmology and general surgery. The facility comprises two operating theatres. Our teams focus is on delivering the highest standard of personalised care all whilst maintaining the strictest processes in infection control.

Position overview:
Reporting to the Director of Nursing, this role will suit someone who is highly motivated with excellent clinical skills and a solid knowledge of infection control.
Your duties will include:
- Delivering care that is wholistic and individualised to the patient
- Ensure confidentiality of medical records and patient privacy
- Maintain legible, accurate and complete records of patient care
- Responsible for monitoring the condition of the patients and manage ongoing medical intervention
- Ensure treatments are monitored and reported to the medical practitioner, including all relevant deviations from clinical pathways
- Ability to accept full responsibility the patients they are assigned to for the pre and post operative nursing care
- Correct administration of all drug therapy including IV and high risk medications in line with hospital policies
- Maintain custody of accountable drugs and other medications according to the Poisons Act and hospital policy, including safe handling of keys
- Assist in cost-efficient management of supplies
- Maintain knowledge of Emergency Procedures
- Ensure clinical equipment is in good working order
- Comply with NSW Health Requirements, hospital policies and By Laws

Pre-requisites for the role:
- Must be a Registered Nurse with proven previous experience
- Demonstrated ability to evaluate and deliver quality patient care
- Current National Police Check
- Current Working with Children Check
