About Glenelg Community Hospital
Glenelg Community Hospital is located in the seaside suburb of Glenelg South and is fully licensed with 12 single inpatient rooms, 20 day surgery ‘seats’, two theatres and an endoscopy procedure room. The Hospital is an acute care organisation providing short stay surgical services only (no medical patients) to the community. Specialties include orthopaedics including joint replacements, ophthalmology, plastics and reconstructive / cosmetic surgery, oral surgery and gastroenterology.
About You
Reporting to the Clinical Manager, Theatre, you will have the following skills and knowledge:
- Nursing experience in recovery care of Orthopaedic, Ophthalmic, Oral Maxillary and Plastics, and including paediatric patients.
- Two years' minimum experience as a Registered Nurse in Recovery.
- Five years' minimum experience as a Registered Nurse and current Registration with AHPRA.
- Advanced Life Support (ALS) Certificate desirable.
- Superior organisational, communication and team skills.
- Innovative thinker with strong and conceptual problem-solving skills.
- Willingness to work in a team environment and positively respond to workplace challenges and changes.
- Current Working with Children Check and National Police Clearance, with up to date Immunisations also required.
