ABOUT THE ROLE

The Recreation Supervisor coordinates and delivers recreational activities including group sport, individual fitness and passive activities to support prison operations. The position provides on the job instruction and supervision to prisoners who work in this area. The position holds a supervisory role over other staff in this area.

Eligibility

Possess a current valid manual class “C” motor vehicle driving licence.

Possess a current valid Provide First Aid (HLTAID003) accreditation (or equivalent e.g., Senior First Aid) received from an accredited training provider with a minimum of 12 months validity remaining.

Subsequent Vacancies

Applicants found suitable but not recommended for this vacancy, may be considered for subsequent similar vacancies in the Department of Justice for a period of twelve (12) months, in accordance with Part 5 (General Appointment) of the Commissioner's Instructions No. 2: Filling a Public Sector Vacancy and Commissioner’s Instructions No. 39: Interim Arrangements to Fill Public Sector Vacancies.
