Monash Health is seeking a dynamic, driven and experienced Recreational Therapist for an exciting new program in CART Primary Care introducing recreational therapy to our HACC/PYP clients in the community. Delivering recreational therapy services to an under 65 population that includes those living in our community that are Vulnerable, they could be at risk of homelessness, living with a chronic disease, disability, cognitive impairment and neurological disorders, this program aims to deliver excellence in client centred care.
We are seeking a full time Grade 2 Recreational Therapist, full time ongoing.
A Day in the Life

Exciting opportunity in service development and evaluation
Our Recreational Therapists will work across Cardinia, Casey and Greater Dandenong delivering services to individuals and groups with the primary focus being on assisting our clients to maintain their wellbeing and independence through participation and engagement in recreational and social activities. Working collaboratively with like-minded Allied Health, and Nursing, delivering high quality, client focused care, our Recreational Therapists conduct holistic assessments and deliver services that provide social connectedness, reengagement , cognitive stimulation, emotional well-being and physical exercise.
About You:
You will bring a can do attitude, focused on holistic client centred care
Experience in delivering recreational therapy to a diverse population, to create opportunities for engagement and participation to promote physical and emotional well being
Well developed interpersonal and communication skills
What you need:
You need a relevant qualification in Recreational or Diversional Therapy
Eligible for membership of the Australian Recreational Therapy Association
Victorian drivers licence
