Recycle Centre Supervisor

Drake Trades & Technical is proud to represent a leading name in the recycling industry, currently seeking a dedicated and dynamic Recycling Centre Supervisor to join their team in Coconut Grove, Darwin. This role offers the opportunity to contribute significantly to environmental sustainability while leading a committed team in a fast-paced setting.

The Role: As the Recycling Centre Supervisor, you will be instrumental in ensuring the smooth operation of our client's recycling depot. This position requires a hands-on approach to daily activities, with responsibilities including but not limited to:

• Leading and supervising a team of 5-6 employees, providing continuous mentorship, coaching, and support to foster a productive work environment.
• Ensuring operational efficiency to maximize uptime and processing volumes.
• Upholding workplace health and safety (WHS) standards, practices, and improvements within the depot.
• Building and maintaining effective relationships with key stakeholders.
• Actively participating in operations, especially during peak work volumes.
• Maintaining a clean and professional work environment for both staff and customers.
• Collaborating with technicians to resolve Reverse Vending Machine (RVM) issues.
• Adhering to and promoting SAFE Standards and Guidelines.

About You: The ideal candidate for this role will have:

• A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a Team Leader or supervisory role, preferably in a similar setting.
• Tertiary qualification in Frontline Management or a related field is preferred.
• Exceptional computer skills.
• Proven cash handling expereince
• A proven track record of motivating and developing employees.
• A customer-focused approach with experience handling customer complaints.
• Excellent attention to detail and strong time management skills.
• A strong personal drive for success and achievement.
• Willingness to undergo a mandatory Police Check and a Pre-employment Medical assessment, including a drug and alcohol test, to ensure the capability to perform role requirements safely.

Key Requirements:

• Full working rights in Australia.
• A clear Criminal History.
• Ability to manage cash transactions and perform till operations.
• Experience in rostering and team management.

Roster Details:

The Recycling Centre Supervisor role offers flexible rostering options to accommodate work-life balance while ensuring operational needs are met. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work a 38hour week either a Monday-Friday schedule or a Tuesday-Saturday schedule, allowing for flexibility in work arrangements.
