Job DescriptionReporting into the DC/Warehouse Supervisor the
Recycling Assistant is responsible for daily DC waste management and operations, including; separation and disposal of cardboard, plastic, and foam, and general waste, with a continual focus on Safety, Quality, Sustainability and Team. The
Recycling Assistant will operate and align with company values.
Position Responsibilities- Sort and process plastic, cardboard, and foam waste
- Maintain machinery and notify Manager of issues
- Coordinate disposal collection
- Clean factory areas
- Ensure safety protocols adherence
- Collaborate with team
- Perform ad hoc tasks as needed
- Alert Manager when cardboard auger is ¾ full for collection
- Advise Manager when 4+ pallets of plastic or foam are ready for collection
- Operate specialized machinery
Qualifications- Previous experience working in a warehouse environment
- Experience working with appliances, furniture, or large bulky items preferred but not essential
- Strong safety focused including safe manual handling knowledge and experience
- High attention to detail
- Good multitasking skills and experience
- Excellent team player
- Good communication skills
- A proactive, can do approach
Additional Information- Permanent full-time position.
- Monday - Friday 9am - 5pm
