Position: Reel and Service QC Tech
Location: Shimano Australia Fishing
Reporting to: Service Manager / Head of Planning
Key Responsibilities:
- Allocation of reel repair jobs to technicians, ensuring fair workload distribution.
- Performing daily quality control of reels to meet Shimano's high standards.
- Prompt entry and escalation of new jobs into the system.
- Assisting in reel servicing and repairs during peak times or as required.
- Identifying and resolving reel faults, and assisting others in this process.
- Providing backup customer service support, handling phone and email inquiries.
- Collaborating with the team to achieve minimum turnaround times for repairs.
- Maintaining data integrity for spare parts stock level management and annual stock take.
- Offering in-person and phone assistance to customers regarding reel repairs And Services.
- Managing materials and ensuring adherence to health and safety guidelines.
- Supporting the shipping of repaired reels back to dealers and customers.
- Strong leadership and problem-solving abilities.
- Computer literacy and mechanical aptitude.
- In-depth knowledge of Shimano reels and their operation.
- Customer-focused approach.
- Collaborate with Head of Planning, Service Manager, Inventory Controller, fellow technicians, and other team members
- Efficient and timely quality control of reels.
- Accurate and prompt job entry and reporting.
- Upholding customer service standards.
- Maintaining workplace cleanliness and safety.
- Assisting in reel repairs and maintenance of company tools.
- Adherence to Shimano's health and safety policies.
- Reporting hazards, near misses, and incidents.
- Proper use and care of personal protective equipment.
