Partnered with our host Johnson Controls, we are seeking an Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Apprentice who is looking to be trained in all aspects of commercial Air Conditioning service and installation, while completing a MEM31322 Certificate III in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning qualification.
This position is full-time, and based in Kewdale.

As an Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Apprentice you will be assisting qualified tradespeople to complete installations, and conduct servicing and maintenance across multiple commercial sites.
You will be tech-savvy and mechanically minded while using, electrical equipment, testing and monitoring equipment and basic hand and power tools.
Duties will include:
Assisting with installing, repairing, servicing, and maintaining HVAC equipment in commercial facilities
Working at heights and using general hand tools and other industry-specific tooling
Service and maintenance of water- and Air-cooled chillers
Assisting major service and cleaning of heat exchangers

Positive attitude and genuine interest in the trade

Excellent communication skills
Good safety awareness
Mechanical aptitude, attention to detail and an understanding of hand tools
Punctual and reliable
Ability to pass a Pre-Employment Medical, Drug and Alcohol Screen and Police Check
Willing to work, listen and learn what the tradespeople teach you
Reliable vehicle and current driver's licence
COVID-19 vaccination certificate
