Join the passionate team at Cann Industries, located in Yarrawonga, just a stone's throw from Darwin in the Northern Territory. We are on the lookout for a seasoned Refrigeration / Kitchen Equipment Mechanic who can enrich our close-knit squad.

In this role, you'll be our go-to person for everything related to the installation, servicing, maintenance, and repair of an array of commercial kitchen and Mechanical Equipment. From ice machines to bakery equipment or bale presses to dock levellers, your technical expertise will help keep our customer's operations running smoothly.

We're particularly keen to meet you if you've honed your skills in the catering equipment repairs and maintenance field previously.

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

• Manage assigned jobs from issuing to completion, including job prioritisation.
• Ensure a high level of customer service is provided to customers.
• Carry out diagnosis and facilitate breakdown repairs on equipment.
• Reviewing system drawings and specifications. 
• Installing and repairing components such as compressors, motors, condensers, evaporators, switches and gauges, etc.
• Carry out regular equipment maintenance based on customer requirements.
• Carry out installation of equipment.
• Welding as required
• Working on ice machines and other refrigeration systems

Essential Qualifications:

• Restricted Electrical Licence (NT)
• Driver’s Licence (manual)
• Working with Children Check (NT)
• ARCTICK Refrigerant Handling Licence

Essential Experience & Traits:

• A minimum of 2 years' experience in the equipment repairs and maintenance industry
• Experience fault finding and diagnosis of faults with commercial equipment.
• Experience working on/with Commercial Catering Equipment
• Experience in both Commercial and Residential Aiconditioning and Refrigeration works (desirable)
• Must be a team player but also have the ability work independently and use own initiative.
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Hold a keen attention to detail and strive to meet customer demands and expectations.
