About the role:
Our Brisbane workshop is currently seeking a trade qualified Mechanic with expertise in Air-conditioning and refrigeration.
The position is a full-time role involving hands on work in our workshop operating on trailer-based refrigerators.
Duties you can expect with this role include:
- Regular inspection and diagnostic of refrigerators
- Engaging in hands on repairs of trailer-based refrigerators, working with components such as compressors, motors, condensers, evaporators and gauges
- Performing routine services and maintenance of refrigeration equipment
- Completing relevant diagnostic and repair documentation
- Carrying out test operations and recording malfunctions
- Disassembling and reassembling air-conditioning and refrigeration systems
The candidates we are looking for will have:
- A tertiary qualification in air conditioning and refrigeration (such as a AQF certificate) or a closely comparable trade.
- ARC refrigerant handling license.
- Clear and competent communication skills.
- The ability to work both independently and in a team-based environment.
- In-depth knowledge of refrigeration and air conditioning systems and their components.
- Demonstrated ability to fault find, dissemble, repair and reassemble.
- A commitment to workplace health and safety (essential).
