Form of workAs a Commercial and Industrial Refrigeration Mechanic/HVAC Service Technician, you will have a pivotal role in our field service operations. Your responsibilities will include the upkeep, servicing, and repair of various HVAC & R equipment for our clients esteemed customers. This position demands practical expertise in Air Handling Units, Ducted Splits, Fans, Chillers, CRAC Units, and Refrigeration systems, coupled with a strong focus on delivering top-notch maintenance, repairs, upgrades, and installations. The job entails a 38 hour work weeks with 2 hours of overtime a day available and RDO options as well. Compensation consists of an hourly rate based on experience plus 11% superannuation, utility vehicle or vehicle allowance, mobile phone allowance , tablet allowance, fuel coverage and relocation and housing assistance if required. You'll also have the privilege of using the vehicle for some local personal use around the Townsville area. Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Conducting installations, upgrades, commissioning, service and maintenance of HVAC&R systems such as Air Handling Units, Ducted Splits, Fans, Chillers, CRAC Units, and Refrigeration systems.
- Utilizing Simpro for recording and tracking of all work and maintenance activities.
- Liaising with key clients to provide first class services and solutions by being the face of the business and delivering the highest level of quality.
- Adhering to safety, quality, and industry best practices.
- Managing your daily schedule and run efficiently.
Profile
Qualifications and Experience:
- Trade certificate or qualification in Refrigeration, Air Conditioning, or HVAC or a 4th Year Apprentice.
- Ideally experience in most of the following - Installation, upgrades, commissioning, service and maintenance of commercial or industrial HVAC&R systems.
- Experience working to best practices and Australian standards.
- Current C Class Drivers Licence.
- Current Refrigeration Handling (ARCtick) Licence or willingness to obtain.
- Restricted Electrical Licence or a willingness to obtain.
- QBCC Workers Licence.
- Ability to gain Security Clearances and Blue Card.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Additional Desirable Requirements:
- Familiarity with BMS systems.

Working Conditions:
