About the Role
Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor Refrigeration and Hydrocarbons, the Refrigeration Technician will undertake day-to-day preventative maintenance activities and breakdown repairs in a safe and efficient manner to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction and liveability in our Port and Rail workshops.
As a Refrigeration and Air-Conditioning Technician, your responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):
Undertake preventative maintenance inspections of plant and equipment
Demonstrate an overriding commitment to health, safety, environment responsibility and sustainable development
Ensure adequate scoping of corrective work to facilitate the planning process
Cultivate positive relationships through effective communication and consultation
Take a proactive role in maintaining appropriate standards of behaviour
Carry out system generated on and offline inspections
This role will be offered on a Residential Lifestyle Roster 4:5 / 5:4 / 5:5 on day shift only.
Living in POrt Hedland, you can enjoy the excellent sporting and leisure facilities which include; a new aquatic centre, sports stadium and water play park. Its beaches and mangroves are home to an abundance of fish and other wildlife. Within driving distance are the spectacular Broome, Karratha and Karijini national Park. As this is a residential position you will also be provided with subsidised rental accommodation in addition to power and water subsidies.

About You
As the successful candidate, you will possess the following:
Previous mine site experience with commercial or residential refrigeration and air-conditioning
Refrigeration and Air-Conditioning Trade Qualification is essential
Valid Australian C Class Driver’s Licence is essential
ARC Refrigerant Handling Licence is essential
WA Restricted Electrical Licence is essential
Forklift, EWP, Working at Heights and Confined Space ticket are desirable
Computer Literacy to use the following systems - 1SAP, Fiori, MS Excel and Word
A proven track record of safety management
Must be able to work at a high standard autonomously
Strong communication and relationship management skills
