About the role:
The Admissions Officer in Strath-Haven, Bendigo will ensure the provision of a high level of customer service to potential residents and their families from initial contact, and throughout all preadmission and admission processes. With a strong focus on excellent customer services the Admissions Officer will work collaboratively with Residential Service Manager and Senior Care Manager to:
- Coordinate the process of engaging potential residents including conducting and/or following up site tours with families/carers, liaising with referrers and responding to queries
- Provide advice and support in establishing the financial arrangements of incoming residents
- Ensure relevant contractual and supporting documentation is complete, accurate and timely and complies with relevant legislation and organisational policy
- Provide advice and support to ensure an efficient and effective resident admission process at residential sites in the region/area
- Develop a relationship with potential residents/families/carers to facilitate management of the process to successful admission
- Permanent part time, 3 days per week

- Sound knowledge of aged care pensions and social security entitlements
- Experience in managing or coordinating aged care admissions processes (preferred)
- Knowledge, experience and understanding of the emotional difficulties faced by residents and families in the transition/admission to residential aged care (desired)
- An understanding of commissioning for new wings or sites of aged care or home care services (desired)
- Available to work 3 days per week permanent part time, flexible on days with organisational needs in mind
- Thrive in a team and also appreciate the one to one interactions

- A current Working With Children Check card
- Current and ongoing flu and COVID-19 Vaccinations
- Australian working rights
