As an Event Manager you will join the close-knit and collaborative Event Health Services team and ensure delivery of a professional and clinically appropriate service in a timely manner at events. You will work on a rotating roster (red shift) of 4-days on, 4-days off across Monday to Sunday. This includes after hours on-call duties on your rostered days on, to ensure continuous operations and services are delivered as effectively and efficiently as possible.
What you’ll do:
- Assist the Event Operations Manager develop robust policies, procedures, and guidelines in relation to the management and execution of the provision of event health care cover at events
- Attend client and stakeholder briefings
- Preparation and completion of risk assessments
- Coordinate event communication with staff and volunteers
- Ensure all aspects of event operations are compliant with current policies and guidelines
- Ensure all equipment, vehicles and assets are kept in operational order in collaboration with the EHS logistics team
- Maintain adequate levels of trained personnel for event specialist roles to meet demand
- Manage all aspects of the volunteer event specialist roles including recruitment, training, support and communications
- Manage staff and volunteers behaviour and performance in accordance with St John policies and guidelines at events
- Ensure client and stakeholder relationships are maintained and strengthened
- Ensure adherence to event plans and adapt plans in real time to meet the needs of clients and patrons
- Ensure exceptional levels of customer service are delivered to all patients and stakeholders
- Complete clinical audits in accordance with St John WA clinical best practice
What you’ll need:
- Experience in event planning, management, and resourcing
- Clinical scope of Event Ambulance Officer or higher, or be willing to attend required clinical training.
- Experience in motivating and leading others
- Unrestricted driver’s license with no more than 6 demerit points
- Working with Children Check
- Clinical event experience (desirable)
- Experience in managing large teams of staff and volunteers (desirable)
- OSH qualifications or background (highly desirable)
