Crowies Paints is one of the most recognised and respected brands in the Australian paint industry. Crowies Paints was established in 1996 and operates a chain of 31 paint specialist stores in South Australia, Victoria, Queensland and NSW . A vacancy has arisen for the role of Regional Area Manager based in Ballarat, Victoria.
About the role
This role will assist and oversee the Shepparton store where needed whilst being based in the Ballarat store. We require a bright ambitious sales professional who has experience working and managing sales and staff within the coatings industry. This position will suit someone seeking a long term career in a stable and progressive company. This position would also be ideal for someone who has a proven track record of managing staff, winning new business whilst maintaining key base business. Additionally, as this is a senior role, transferring your skills between different market channels is pivotal.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Recruit, Develop and train store Managers & staff on all aspects of store operational procedure to ensure a high performing team.
- Foster a Positive and inclusive workforce that encourages Collaboration and innovation.
- To assist in the rostering of stores.
- The full operational running of a Trade, Retail and Industrial paint store.
- Ensure all stores deliver exceptional service and maintain high levels of customer service
- Address and resolve, in conjunction with the store STAFF, customer complaints in a timely and effective manner.
- Monitoring sales, following up all opportunities available and working in store to maximize its trading performance.
- At all times ensuring operations are within our policy framework.
- To endeavour to promote Crowies Paints in the community by engaging with community centric organisations.
- Monitor and communicate local competitor activity to Crowies Paints management.
Skills & Experience
We are looking for a self motivated person who enjoys the challenge of running and growing a paint specialist store. Paint Industry experience including a knowledge of Automotive, Industrial, Protective and Marine coatings is essential.
The following skills are required
The ability to understand and achieve sales budgets and sales targets in accordance with the Crowies Paints territory sales budget as provided.
To provide feedback and report on competitor activities across all segments.
To liaise and coordinate with external suppliers and reps to facilitate, training on their products that are ranged within your stores.
Monitor, understand and communicate local competitor activity to Crowies Paints management.
