Robert Walters are partnering with a global FMCG organisation on a newly created Regional Commercialisation Lead position. Based in North Sydney, our client is looking for an experience category manager and procurement professional who will be responsible for representing the organisation as an enabling partner supporting new product development requirements across the ANZ region.
Responsibilities:
Effectively gather product ideation concepts and development requirements, within a well-defined process.
Stay informed of the pipeline of initiatives tacking progress through stage gates and time to completion of each stage.
Working directly with suppliers, or in collaboration with the strategic sourcing and market-based category management team, you will:
Source and refine product samples to meet requirements
Lead the sourcing of product samples from new suppliers
Gather and share indicative pricing and minimum order quantities throughout the product iteration and refinement work steps of the concept and test phases to enable effective decision making by the brand team;
Ensure sourced products meeting food safety and quality assurance standards
Escalate operational or performance challenges to the strategic sourcing team
Active involvement in collating technical information for targeted presentations and conducting the presentations as required.
Developing relationships and trust with key stakeholders and category owners in Regional and market teams.
Standardised reporting and KPI monitoring in line with departmental goals.
Create and lead a cohesive working group made up of the Commercialisation Leads from across the region.
Foster collaborative learning, mentor, ensure process alignment, discuss challenges, and create escalations where necessary.
Requirements:
Category management experience in the food sector is essential
Experience leading and developing teams in achieving targeted KPIs and commercial awareness.
Demonstrated experience in facility / manufacturing processes and procedures is a must.
Ability to lead and drive projects to a timely conclusion and to prepare concise reports outlining action recommendations and full justification.
Exceptional communication, planning, organising, leading and skills across multiple functions and achieving desired outcomes.
