Regional Cricket Manager – Metropolitan North

We are looking for someone who is passionate about leadership and driving cricket participation.

About the Role

Cricket is a game that can be enjoyed by everyone, it’s fun, exciting and action packed! 

The Regional Cricket Manager role will manage a small team to assist the community, in the metropolitan north region,  in growing cricket for 5-12 year olds, so they can have fun and enjoy the game. 

The role will be working alongside community stakeholders to create brilliant experiences in clubs and programs throughout the community.

Located at the WACA Ground, the position reports through to the Area Manager Metro.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and support a team in one of three specified regions in the Perth metropolitan area to drive WA Cricket’s strategic objectives around participation growth and pathways and positive experiences, with a priority focus on 5–12-year-olds and inclusion and diversity.
  • Use data and insights to inform the targeted implementation of strategies to achieve these strategy objectives.
    Increase the reach and impact of cricket in communities with little or no engagement through innovative approaches and initiatives, informed by data and insights.
  • Ensure direct reports develop and implement strategies designed to engage their key stakeholders across schools and community and assist in effectively leveraging those stakeholder relationships.
  • Ensure strong collaboration between direct reportsand the Community Cricket specialist staff to ensure clear lines of communication and accountabilities.
  • Contribute strategically to and work collaboratively with the Metropolitan Perth Area Team and wider WA Cricket departments
  • Lead and support a team that is engaged, high performing and delivers outcomes against strategy.
  • Support the Area Manager to manage area and portfolio budgets.
  • Build strong relationships with relevant State and Local Government authorities.
  • Leverage the profile of the Women’s and Men’s BBL to increase participation.

  • Demonstrated ability to deliver on outcomes and results
  • Sound analytical skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Sound understanding of community sport development and participation trends
  • Computer literacy
  • Financial management

Desirable

  • Sound knowledge of the WA Community cricket sector
  • Commercial acumen
