Job Description

What will you do as a Regional Dairy Administrator at Aurora Dairies?

In the role as Regional Dairy Administrator, your main responsibility will be to oversee the operational administration of our 12 dairy farms situated in Tasmania. You will support a team of two Regional Operations Managers, a Training and Safety Manager, along with our on-farm Farm Managers and their teams.

This role will involve a combination of working at our regional office (located in Deloraine), working from home and visiting our farms. Our Administration team is spread across Australia and New Zealand and works collaboratively. The position is available on a full-time basis and working hours can be flexible across the working week to accommodate your needs.

Key responsibilities

  • Reviewing, checking and assigning all invoices for the region. 
  • Preparing and completion of monthly and annual reports on financial and physical aspects of Aurora's Tasmanian Portfolio.
  • Onboard new starters in our safety system and provide support to new starters in your region.
  • Direct, tracking and ensuring completion of all Weekly and Monthly Checklists in compliance with the safety requirements.
  • Review, monitor and book employee’s training requirements regarding Health and Safety Licences and Safety Courses, as well as personal development requirements.
  • Supporting the Regional HSE Committee.
  • New system training rollout and support.
  • Return to work coordination as required.
  • Support the Regional Operations Manager and Farm Managers with Capex projects and manage council relationships and administration where required.

Qualifications

The skills and experience for this opportunity are:

  • You have worked in a similar function before and have extensive knowledge around dairy and dairy systems. 
  • You have a strong understanding of finance and budgeting.
  • You bring strong Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel). 
  • Good communication and collaboration skills with internal stakeholders that will include our farm staff, management team and corporate staff along with external stakeholders including contractors and suppliers.
  • You have strong self-motivation and attention to detail, with the ability to show initiative. 
  • You have a passion for the dairy industry.
  • You hold a valid driver licence and a reliable vehicle as travel to farms will be required at times.
  • Close living proximity to Deloraine as multiple days of attendance in the office each week is required.
  • Must have full Australian Working Rights.
