With a consistently increasing turnover of 1.8 billion euros, it has established a global reputation over the past seven decades as a highly reliable partner for future-proof logistic process automation.

Your Position

As the Regional Financial Controller APAC, your primary responsibility is to oversee the financial operations of two key business units within the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region: Airports and Parcel APAC, and Branch Warehousing Solutions ANZ. This encompasses various aspects such as financial planning and analysis, budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.

In addition to managing financial functions, you will also play a crucial role in leading a team, offering guidance, support, and fostering a collaborative working environment to ensure the team's success. Furthermore, as a member of the CC APS APAC and Branch WS ANZ Management Teams, you will contribute to strategic decision-making and overall business success.

Your Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain sophisticated financial models to facilitate strategic decision-making.

  • Conduct in-depth analysis of financial data, trends, and variances to identify opportunities for improvement and optimization.

  • Offer valuable insights and recommendations to senior management to enhance financial performance.

  • Manage cash flows and mitigate foreign currency exposure to minimize risk.

  • Lead the annual budgeting process for the APAC region, ensuring alignment with corporate goals.

  • Prepare accurate and timely forecasts to support resource allocation and operational planning.

  • Monitor budget versus actual performance and take corrective actions as needed.

  • Provide strong leadership and direction to a team of five finance professionals.

  • Set clear performance objectives, conduct regular evaluations, and provide ongoing feedback and coaching.

  • Cultivate a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement within the team.

  • Act as a primary liaison for senior management, business unit leaders, and other stakeholders in the APAC region.

  • Establish and nurture strong relationships, effectively communicating financial insights and recommendations.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally to support business initiatives and drive organizational success.

  • Serve as a leading example within the Global Vanderlande Business Control Community.

Qualification & Skills

  • Master's degree in Finance or Business Administration.

  • Over 10 years of relevant experience in an international company, preferably in a business-to-business and project-oriented environment.

  • Proven experience in business partnering, with a focus on sales and strong commercial acumen.

  • Solid understanding of sales, project, and service control processes.

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.

  • Willingness to travel approximately 25% of the time.

  • Ambitious self-starter with a proactive approach to tasks and challenges.

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and effectively manage multiple priorities.

  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization.

  • Demonstrated leadership abilities, including experience in managing and developing teams.
