We are seeking a Strategic Buyer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and executing Sourcing Strategies that provide a competitive advantage to the business. You will also ensure the timely supply of all materials to our factories in NPP AOA.

The Strategic Buyer will implement and achieve procurement targets and objectives by following the Strategic Sourcing Process tools and policies, efficiently implement new items/services, manage the P2P channel, and onboarding new suppliers. The role will involve collaborating with various stakeholders, including the Head of Procurement, central/regional teams, local sourcing teams, category teams, factory stakeholders, and suppliers to gather data, communicate requirements, and implement strategies. Additionally, you will liaise with NiM stakeholders focused on functions and plant, production, and co-man sites in the Oceania region.

This role is based in Rhodes.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement Sourcing Strategy to ensure supply and achieve the best cost.
  • Develop and lead savings projects for cost optimization.
  • Select and develop supplier base for defined spend categories.
  • Improve supplier delivery and service performance.
  • Execute negotiation events for best TCO contracts and commercial agreements.
  • Ensure adherence to Nestlé Supplier Code by key suppliers.
  • Integrate supplier innovation into Nestlé's Innovation and Renovation processes.
  • Maintain agreed service levels with internal stakeholders.
  • Ensure budget accuracy.
  • Identify and implement procurement process improvements.
  • Manage contracts and purchasing info records effectively.
  • Provide regular reports to business partners on gathered information and requirements.
  • Understand functional and plant level requirements.
  • Retrieve and analyse data, identify improvements in P2P process.
  • Ensure supply and crisis management.

Skills and Experience:

  • Proven track record of delivering competitive advantage through sourcing strategies.
  • Strong leadership skills.
  • Expertise in TCO analysis, risk management, responsible sourcing, and supplier relationship management.
  • Successful experience in cross-functional and cross-market negotiations.
  • Demonstrated commitment and leadership in crisis management.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills.
